元器件交易網訊 5月12日消息，據外媒報道，受閃存銷售拉動，3月末東芝2013財年銷售額增長至630億美元，凈利潤28億美元，同比增長14%。
東芝元件和電子設備銷售額達160億美元，凈利潤破紀錄達23億美元。預計本財年將提升至32億美元。
當被問及競購目前屬于GE的阿爾斯通公司相關事宜時，東芝表示：“我們不能否認事件的可能性，但關于阿爾斯通競購并沒有具體細節。”

Led by flash memory sales, Toshiba’s salesincreased to $63 billion in the financial year to the end of March for a profitof $2.8 billion. It expects 14% growth in profits this financial year.
Toshiba’s components and electronic devicesbusiness had sales of $16 billion for a record operating profit of $2.3billion. It expects to raise this to $3.2 billion in the current financial yearaccounting for half the corporation’s total profits.
The components business sales were thesecond highest of Toshiba’s business units – second to the energy divisionwhich includes nuclear reactor sales which had revenues of $18 billion.
Asked if it’s putting in a bid for Alstom,currently under offer from GE, withSiemens contemplating a bid this month, Toshiba says: “We can’t deny thepossibility of something happening in this area, but in regard to Alstom thereis nothing concrete.”
On the wider economy Toshiba sees modestgains. ‘Although there are concerns both in overseas and in Japan, including abad debt problem in China, a weak recovery in the EU and emerging economies andsluggishness in Japan due to the increase in consumption tax, the globaleconomy is expected to record higher growth than in FY2013,’ says Toshiba
